6 Things WWE Have Done Right So Far This WrestleMania Season (And 6 They Haven't)

3. A Possibility Of Too Many Matches

At the same time, this might be one of those shows where there are too many matches, and thus there might be the possibility of some announced matches being cut in the event of match overrun. We€™ve already seen this before at WrestleMania XXIX. Tons of Funk and the Funkadactyls were supposed to face the Bella Twins and Team Rhodes Scholars right after the Undertaker-CM Punk match. However, due to that match going longer than expected, this match was cut, and the PPV went straight to Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar. Another example of this was at WrestleMania X, where the Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon Ladder match went over its time limit, causing a 10-man tag team match to be scrapped. For this upcoming WrestleMania, there€™s the possibility of nine or ten matches taking place. Though the average over the last three of four WrestleMania events has been around 9 matches, that does not include entrances, backstage promos, Hall of Fame announcements, celebrity involvement. Therefore, there€™s the chance that some matches that are being heavily hyped right now might not even get enough time. This might be the reason why Goldust and Stardust are speculated to be the next two to be announced in the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match, and Miz and Mizdow are in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal instead of having a (highly-anticipated) singles match. WWE need to be very careful in how they book the upcoming matches and how much time each match is given; otherwise some good matches can suffer from time constraints, and some might even get cut altogether.
