6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dark (Aug 4)

1. A Seat At The Table

AEW

Oh yeah, this was great too.

Scorpio Sky cut one hell of a promo after beating Will Hobbs. The chair he'd brought into the ring was symbolic, he said. It may as well be a throne, as people have been calling him the King of AEW Dark like he's supposed to be happy about it. Without burying the show, Sky said that anyone who thinks this is his ceiling is very, very wrong, then put himself over, pointing out his ridiculous win/loss record and that he's one of only two men to pin Chris Jericho here - the other being the World Champion.

Sky is tired of sitting on the outside and waiting for his spot at the table. Everybody else is eating, so he's going to kick in the door, bring his own seat, and ensure nobody forgets his name.

It's impossible to fault this. Scorp has been stuck on the B-show for too long: it's time for him to level up, and this promo signifies that.
