6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (16 Aug - Results & Review)

2. Tag. Team. Wrestling.

DIY Street Profits

DIY vs. The Street Profits was match of the night by a long, long way. Carmelo Hayes vs. Andrade was sweet, but it couldn't match the glory of epic tag-team wrestling in full flow. The crowd were into it, both teams gelled, and everyone on both squads had their working boots on. This was great.

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa earning their way to a rematch vs. Solo's Bloodline might've been better than giving The Profits the win, but that's an arguable point. DIY have a ready-made revenge story after being beaten in their home town. WWE chose to go another way - they fancy seeing if Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins match up well against Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu/Tonga Loa.

Whilst it defo feels like The Profits are still missing something, they will purr in-ring.

Both were up and at it on Friday night, that's for sure. The pair's act badly needs an update creative sticks to, but Ford and Dawkins do deliver when they're called on to work multiple segment matches. Give this one a watch if tag wrestling is your bag.
