6 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Collision (March 16 - Results & Review)

Ups...

6. Julia's Decent Title Defence (With Stakes)

Julia Hart AEW
AEW

HOB's 'House Rules' can occasionally wobble (HOB-ble?), but AEW got them spot on come Saturday night. The winner of this TBS Title bout would obviously leave with the gold, but the loser would be banned from ringside for the Tag Title tourney clash between their respective factions later in the night.

That was simple but smart booking.

The stip gave Julia Hart vs. Trish Adora some meaning, at least. There were actually stakes beyond the belt, and that gave both Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness something to chat about whilst Hart did her best to twist Adora's head clean off. Sometimes, in shorter scraps like this one, the commentators need that story thread to play with.

There's always a worry amongst fans that fledgling stars like Hart will fall by the wayside when bigger ones like Mercedes Mone join the roster, but AEW shouldn't give up on Julia. She has real potential, and shows visible improvements every single time she hits the ring.
