6 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Jul 28)

4. Destroying His Past

A short vignette at the end of Slammiversary and a post-match attack on Moose after he defeated Fallah Bahh last week are all we've seen from EC3 since he returned to Impact Wrestling. This week was the first time we've heard 'The Essential Character' talk since coming back, and boy, did he deliver quite the promo.

Listing off his previous accolades in Impact, EC3 vowed to destroy his past. He's pinned a who's who of Impact legends over the years, from Kurt Angle to Sting to Bully Ray, and also has the longest undefeated streak in Impact history. A former Grand Champion and two-time World Champion, 'The Top One Percent' is now an entirely different man to the one we're used to seeing. As such, he's insistent on creating a new career in Impact Wrestling.

A simple two-minute promo, and EC3 is already established as a star on the Impact roster. How WWE failed to utilised him correctly truly is a mystery. It's only taken Impact two weeks to make him a major name again. How can you possibly fail to do such a thing over a three year period?
