3. The Vision Writes Reigns Out

...stretcher job gimmick.

That old chestnut will explain why Roman Reigns is absent from TV for a solid month or so. In truth, he's away to shoot scenes for Street Fighter, but simply having Roman vanish without a trace without letting The Vision destroy him again would've been a waste. At Clash In Paris, that's precisely what Paul Heyman instructed he and the Seth Rollins-led doom troopers to do.

First, Breakker flew in out of nowhere like peak Randy Orton to spear Reigns through the announce table mid-celebration. Then, both he and Bronson wrecked the ‘OTC’ with multiple Tsunamis. Even Jey Uso couldn’t stop the carnage. He tried, but he was slapped about by Bron and Reed like 'Main Event' owed the pair money.

This stretcher job justifies everything about the match and segment. Sure, it was Reigns who took home the winner's purse, but the heels had the last laugh by brutalising him even when it was obvious that he was defenceless. Bonus points go to Breakker for his chilling mini-speech mid-beatdown: “I’m willing to die for this, do you understand? You’re in my way”.

This is how you make henchmen heels look like credible threats to anyone. It's worth repeating that Roman went above and beyond to make sure these dudes walked away from the scene of the crime looking like killers. Villains getting their heat back after a loss is nothing new, but it's damn effective pro wrasslin' 101 and worked a charm over in France.

Roll on Roman vs. Breakker when the time is right. Reigns may even bring back some Street Fighter moves to get even. Ever think you'd see a Hadouken on PLE?
