6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Monday Night Raw (10 November - Results & Review)
4. Tag Division Gets Shine For WarGames
While the men’s WarGames match came together much more abruptly, the women’s version at least had a bit more recent connective tissue to it. It probably also helped that it came on the heels of a pretty good main event and a title change.
The Kabuki Warriors defeated Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championship, completing their rise through the division. The Warriors were in control for a while until Flair tagged in, running wild on both Asuka and Kairi Sane. Charlotte and Asuka displayed their usual great chemistry before things broke down with Nia Jax and Lash Legend interfering to cost the champs.
Afterward, a four-on-two beatdown got upended by Iyo Sky and a returning Rhea Ripley, who issued the one-word challenge: WarGames. For Rhiyo, this will be an opportunity to renew hostilities with the Warriors. Rhea has also had her battles with Jax. Nia has had rivalries with both Flair and Bliss.
There’s also something refreshing about seeing four women’s tag teams battling like this, especially when you realize there are still two prominent tandems – the Judgment Day and Bayley and Lyra Valkyria – that don’t factor into this match.
That alone has to be a positive sign about the health of the women’s tag division.
