3. WWE Can’t Handle The (R-)Truth

Anyone else sitting here wondering what the bloody point of bringing R-Truth back into the mix at all was? He’s been calling out John Cena weekly, but has also taken a kicking from the WWE Champ on TV. Then, Ron Killings was casually shunted into the background so CM Punk could take centre stage instead (understandable but still bad timing for Truth), and he failed to show up at all here in Saudi Arabia after being on SmackDown the previous night.

Don’t tell us he’s still selling Aleister Black’s kick from Friday!

One thing's become crystal clear: WWE and Triple H look like fools for wink, wink, nudge, nudge suggesting that wrestling fans are daft for thinking they didn't have everything figured out. In reality, they didn't. R-Truth was only brought back at all due to fan pressure mounting up, and now they don't have a clue what to do with the guy or where he fits in. At least Ron is getting a good pay packet out of it. Silver linings, eh?

It was bizarre that Truth didn't at least try to interfere in Cena's match vs. Punk on Saturday. His entire act revolves around 'Big Match John', but this more serious version of a prior comedy character was nowhere to be found. The only reasonable takeaway from all of this is that Hunter was talking nonsense when he palmed off fan criticism, and that WWE don't really have a plan for Truth at all.

Maybe they'll come up with one soon, who knows? He might have to get pitching himself.
