6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (17 Aug - Results & Review)
UPS…
6. A Crisp Little Match

Normally, an impromptu match that was made during the commercial break would earn an automatic “down,” but an engaged crowd and some nifty action contained in a short, crisp match will get passing marks.
Je’Von Evans battled JD McDonagh in a match that saw the Young OG tweak his leg, which allowed McDonagh to target it throughout. Evans and JD’s styles clicked pretty decently, and the finish – which saw McDonagh miss a moonsault and roll through, only for Je’Von to immediately counter with an OG Cutter – was well-timed.
Good enough stuff here from a definitional opening match: brief, energetic, and got the fans into it from beginning to end.
