6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Saturday Night's Main Event (25 Jan - Results & Review)

Ups…

6. A Hogan-Free Zone

In the weeks leading up to this edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Hulk Hogan was all over the promotional material, with word that he was going to have a role in the program itself. But when the curtain went up on Saturday, there was no sign of Hogan.

During the week, it was reported that Hulk was missing SNME due to a family obligation and not at all due to the Hulkster being booed out of the arena on the Raw Netflix debut earlier this month. While that might be perfectly true, it’s rather convenient that WWE spent weeks having Hogan be the face of Saturday’s program and he suddenly was occupied with a family commitment and unable to appear after he faced immense backlash.

Regardless, Hulk Hogan would not have added anything of value to Saturday Night’s Main Event, so his not being there is a net positive for the show.
