Stephanie Vaquer’s Women’s World Championship reign has gotten off to a slower start than likely anyone would have liked, but it fell victim to WWE’s calendar, meaning she entered Monday having held the title for more than three weeks with no clear challenger stepping up.

That changed Monday night when Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez interrupted a Vaquer interview. Vaquer noted that Roxanne (the more vocal of the two) had had a bad night, but it wasn’t her fault. This didn’t go over well with the Prodigy, who responded to Stephanie’s “stop crying about it and do something” comment by saying she would do things on her terms.

No one is expecting Roxanne to walk away with the women’s world title, but she will have an excellent match with Vaquer, and really, that seems to be WWE’s priority with her. That’s a smart play, as wrestling is her first and second language. A couple of really good title defenses could solidify her status as one of the big breakout stars of 2025.
