6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (11 March - Results & Review)

3. Rollins Has Another Strong Night

Friday night was a big night for Seth Rollins, ditching his goofy gimmick to get in The Rock’s face and dress him down like few have in recent years, finally looking like a serious player. How he followed things up Monday night would be critical for momentum.

Thankfully, he delivered a great performance again, this time opposite an equally great Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior called Rollins a junkie who was getting his fix by accepting the Bloodline’s challenge for a tag match on night one of WrestleMania 40, against Drew’s wishes.

This brought out Rollins, who begged McIntyre to hit him with another Claymore to get his full attention, even kneeling down and turning his back to egg him on. McIntyre mocked Seth’s goofy antics before admitting he preferred this more serious version, telling the World Heavyweight Champion to take his own advice and “get over” the Bloodline rather than engaging with them.

Rollins pledged to take down the Bloodline, then stomp Drew’s head into the mat and continued to try to provoke McIntyre, to no avail.

This was two guys ditching catchphrases and just dialing in on the finish line of WrestleMania… albeit from different perspectives. Seth still is dividing his attention and convincing himself that he can topple Roman Reigns and Rock alongside Cody Rhodes and then beat McIntyre, while Drew is singularly focused on his lone match to finally win a world title at WrestleMania – in front of fans.
