2. Dominik Runs, But He Can’t Hide From Oba

Heading into Monday’s King of the Ring semifinal, there were a couple outcomes that could make sense, but WWE didn’t overcomplicate things between Oba Femi and Dominik Mysterio.
They could have pulled Brock Lesnar into the fray to cost Femi the match, setting up their rubber match for Night of Champions and putting Mysterio on course to become King of the Ring. Instead, they opted for the usual Judgment Day hijinks, and it worked.
Dominik repeatedly bailed and ran away from Oba. Eventually, Femi caught Dirty Dom and chucked him over the announce desk. JD McDonagh ran interference, allowing Mysterio to hit a low blow and a couple of 619s and a frog splash – for a one-count. JD tried to get involved again, but Oba chokeslammed both men, hit a series of running uppercuts in the corner to both, tossed Dominik and dropped him with a Fall from Grace to advance.
Femi’s win creates some interesting scenarios. If he faces Jey Uso in the finals, it could perfectly set him up to challenge Roman Reigns at SummerSlam after getting through the Right Hand Man. If he goes against Je’Von Evans, his opponent will have familiarity on his side.
If Lesnar costs him the KOTR at Night of Champions (and Oba basically called Brock out in a post-match promo, challenging his manhood), then Jey would undoubtedly challenge former tag partner Cody Rhodes, and Evans would make for a wild card challenger for Roman at SummerSlam.
