Prince Puma vs. King Cuerno on WWE television, people. It just happened.

Of course, Ricochet and Santos Escobar have come a long way since they were sporting those masks on Lucha Underground, but there was something cool about seeing an old LU match like this take place in a featured spot on SmackDown. Then, predictably, Rico and Escobar delivered.

Their SmackDown World Cup final was almost 22 minutes of sheer wrestling heaven, to be honest. Crucially, Santos got to look strong in defeat, and Ricochet absolutely looked like the man by roaring back to win like he did. Post-match celebrations with the trophy and that staredown with GUNTHER? Awesome.

Rico and GUNTHER will smash it in two weeks when they clash for the Intercontinental belt. Yours truly is still a little stunned Braun Strowman didn't add this World Cup to his Greatest Royal Rumble triumph, but it's not a negative that he was eliminated.

Special main event here.
