6 Ups & 5 Downs From Impact Wrestling (16 March)

5. Round Two

TJP Ace Austin Josh Alexander
Impact Wrestling

Ace Austin's first defence in his second reign as X Division Champion will see the 2021 Super X Cup winner defend against TJP on next week's show, following on from their superb contest at Sacrifice.

The news came as Ace was being interviewed backstage by Gia Miller, claiming to have nothing more than humbled by TJP ending his undefeated streak a few years back. Interrupted by Chris Bey, Josh Alexander, and eventually TJP, the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic winner informed 'The One True Ace' of his upcoming title defence.

TJP and Ace's Sacrifice match was so good that doing it again so soon after isn't such a bad thing, so long as they pull off an equally-as-good match. It needs to follow a similar format to Saturday, in that Madman Fulton's involvement should be limited. They can't possibly have a bad match now that we know what they can do together.
