6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (26 June - Review)

5. Give Them 15… Without The Goofy Angle

In another universe, or in another promotion/brand, Ricochet versus Shinsuke Nakamura would be a PPV-worthy match.

On Raw, it was still a really nice match, but it was shrouded by the ongoing angle with Bronson Reed where two of the three have a one-on-one match while the third “watches” outside, only to become involved in the bout.

This time, Reed got ejected early on after Nakamura and Ricochet attacked him, and the two proceeded to have an action-packed match, with both countering each other at a ridiculous rate. Thankfully, WWE sidestepped the expectation that Reed would return and cause a DQ, with Ricochet winning clean with a Shooting Star Press.

Good TV match that the fans ate up. You just wish that this match meant something and wasn’t their second Raw match this month alone and just part of an angle to set up the inevitable triple threat.
