6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (26 June - Review)

4. Alphas, Vikings Further Their Feud

One of the more notable things about the Attitude Era that still receives praise today is that a wide number of wrestlers had something going on – even if you were a midcard wrestler who wasn’t in a title feud. Conversely, that has been a criticism of WWE in recent years, with so many superstars sitting around with little going on.

That’s why it’s refreshing to see Alpha Academy and Viking Raiders having a multi-week feud that has included some in-ring action and now dueling backstage segments, with Chad Gable cutting a full babyface promo as he, Otis and Maxxine Dupri ready themselves for the Vikings to take the fight to them, with Otis promising “pure carnage.”

There isn’t a ton to this story, but it’s two tag teams who aren’t currently vying for the tag titles involved in their own angle, which is a nice change of pace and good to see for all six superstars.
