6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (27 Feb - Results & Review)

Downs…

6. Harmless, But Pointless Too

The Street Profits are a bankable act that rarely fail to entertain, both in the ring and on the mic. But their appearance in the opening segment of Raw was pointless and felt shoehorned into the Bloodline storyline.

Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa were reassuring the fans that everything is fine with the Bloodline. There are no cracks in the group; family fights all the time.

Out came the Profits to interject and take a couple swipes at the Bloodline, mocking Jey’s absence. They prattled on a bit too long before getting to the brawl that preceded their scheduled match. However, there was no talk about winning tag gold or advancing the Profits’ fortunes.

Ultimately, this was inoffensive and short. But it also was pointless with Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins more of a stand-in team to allow the Bloodline’s ongoing story to continue. Thankfully, we got some development later with the Profits, but for an opening segment, this wasn’t exactly something you’d expect just weeks out from WrestleMania.
