6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (27 Feb - Results & Review)

3. A Friendly Assist

If you had thoughts that Piper Niven was being built up as a monster heel to challenge for the Raw Women’s Championship after WrestleMania, you might have forgot to account for the banana peel she slipped on Monday night.

Niven battled Candice LeRae in yet another midcard women’s match that played out to silence (because fans have been given little reason to invest in or care about these short matches). But after the action spilled to the outside, Nikki Cross (the friendless imp who has been following Candice around for several weeks) got too close to Piper, who slammed her into the barricade.

As she climbed back into the ring, Piper of course turned her back to LeRae, who rolled her up for the win, leaving Niven with a distraction rollup loss on her punch card.
