6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (July 26)

Ups…

6. The Odd Couple

Mansoor Mustafa Ali

This little partnership between Mansoor and Mustafa Ali isn’t going to win huge accolades here, but it’s inoffensive enough to merit an “up” this week.

The idea seems simple enough: Mansoor is new-ish to Raw and overly eager and wide-eyed, while Ali is jaded, almost a grizzled veteran. Ali has been dishing out tough love mentoring of sorts, and this was evident during the match, their backstage promo, even their walk to the ring (with Ali telling him to focus on their opponents rather than the fans).

The duo would pull out the win after each man saved the other and Mansoor grabbed a rollup. And then to drive the point home, Mustafa pulled Mansoor to safety before he could get jumped by T-Bar and Mace.

Who knows? This could possibly catch on… and then WWE will WWE it into the ground.
