It would be easy to lament the Viking Raiders being used as high-powered cannon fodder, but in the end, it was for a bigger purpose.

Erik & Ivar fell to AJ Styles & Omos in a Raw Tag Team Championship match, with Omos overcoming some double-teams to swat Erik into oblivion. The match itself was pretty decent, with the Raiders smartly trying to isolate Styles and keep Omos out of the match with some nice sneak attacks.

Once Omos got involved, however, it was all downhill for the Vikings. The Personal Colossus took out both men easily, allowing AJ to nail a springboard 450 splash for the win.

It’s not clear where the tag champs go next – or if a face turn could be in the cards, since fans really want to cheer this duo – but at least they handled this correctly and let the champs retain strongly with WWE’s newest pet giant looking good again.
