6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 29)

1. Priest Wins Again

Let’s not dwell on the quality of Damian Priest’s match against Apollo Crews too much and instead celebrate the fact that the United States Champion won yet another singles bout.

Priest defended his US title successfully against former champ Crews, raging after Commander Azeez interfered and got booted. Damian quickly dispatched with Apollo after that, sending the Nigerian Warrior to the back of the line.

The match itself wasn’t anything special, seemingly moving at half-speed and devoid of the kind of action you might expect from two accomplished vets.

But the simple fact is that Priest just doesn’t lose these matches at all, which has to bode well for his long-term prospects, right? It’s refreshing, at the very least.
