6 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2021

1. We’re All Dumber For Having Seen That

There’s really no other way to describe the craptacular disaster that was Alexa Bliss versus Randy Orton on Sunday night, unless the visual of Bliss straddling Orton was something on your bucket list. (And if it was, you’re a sick person.)

But seriously, we watched Alexa force Orton to spit up black goo (again), throw up a wall of fire, drop a lighting rig from the ceiling, and launch a fireball at Randy, all before the Fiend made his (much anticipated?) return by coming up from under the ring.

And this wasn’t just the same Fiend as before – this was Extra Crispy Fiend! You see, three months ago, he was horribly burned, so he just spent that time in purgatory with a melted mask and charred clothes – but his hair remained pristine! One Sister Abigail later, and Bliss had pinned Orton.

So now we’re probably going to have to sit through an Orton/Fiend match, with the only possible saving grace being if we get a Firefly Funhouse Match, ala Cena/Fiend last year. Otherwise, this very well could make Orton/Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 33 look like a classic.
