6 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (April 19)

4. Just A Reminder

While we derided the decision to suddenly have a loser like Elias finally pick up a win, watching him get some decent offense reminded you that he actually is a capable wrestler.

Sure, Elias is never going to be a world champion, but having him lose every match while his oafish sidekick is inexplicably protected (it’s usually Elias who gets pinned in tag matches) makes no sense. Having him pick up a singles win against Kofi Kingston might just be a one-off deal, but ever now and again, he needs to win to be more than the Brooklyn Brawler with a guitar.

And we’ve just got to give the match a thumbs-up for Xavier Woods playing bass, and at one point playing Stone Cold Steve Austin’s theme, while Kofi mimicked the Rattlesnake’s in-ring antics, hitting a Thesz Press, stomping a mudhole and walking it dry.
