6 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (April 19)

5. Adnan Rebounds

Last week, we noted that new Raw play-by-play man Adnan Virk sounded like he was thrown out on live TV with barely any prep work, messing up the names of moves and wrestlers throughout the program.

Monday marked a noticeable improvement for Virk, who overall did a credible job calling the action alongside Corey Graves & Byron Saxton (who both covered for his greenness calling moves). Virk still got the Viking Raiders’ finisher wrong – calling it the Viking Express twice – and he sounded flat a couple of times, but since we criticized last week, we should offer some praise this week.

Here’s hoping he comes along, and Vince McMahon gives him time to grow into the role.
