6. Maybe The Masks Made Them Stink

On Monday night, we finally got to see what Mace & T-Bar look like without their stupid masks. Unsurprisingly, they looked a lot like Dio Maddin and Dominik Dijakovic.

The duo faced off against Drew McIntyre in a handicap match, getting DQ’d because they couldn’t beat him by himself. Then Braun Strowman made the save, turning it into a tag match, which Mace & T-Bar won because McIntyre ripped Mace’s mask off and beat him with it. (But if Mace headbutted Drew while wearing the mask, it wasn’t a DQ? Things that make your head hurt.)

Then Braun tore T-Bar’s mask off, presumably ending these former RETRIBUTION flunkies’ time wearing rubberized jockstraps on their faces. One can dare to dream that this leads to the two finally shedding these stupid personas and – in Dijakovic’s case – their bland arsenal. It would be nice for WWE to let T-Bar use his in-ring talents rather than being a plodding goon.

But this is WWE, so he’ll probably be Generic Big Man #476 until the company determines they’ve got nothing for him. Still, one can dream. At the very least, the unmasking is an improvement.
