6 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (May 11)

6. Ups - Drifting Into Danger

Balor flip Joe
NXT

The show opened with Finn Balor, who was addressing the NXT crowd for the first time since losing the title to Samoa Joe. Balor cut an average promo talking about how all three of their matches against one another could have gone either way, but he came out on top twice. Before he could get any further, though, he was cut off by Elias Samson.

Samson, of course, came to the ring playing a song he had written especially for Balor. While the lyrics were hard to make out, the fans (and Corey Graves) weren't amused. Samson continued to play, getting into the ring and standing right behind Balor, who was rolling his eyes - until he nailed Samson with a Pele kick out of nowhere!

Samson was knocked silly and he fell out of the ring, leaving Balor alone with his precious guitar. Rather than smash it, the former NXT Champion hurled it up the entrance ramp. Thankfully for all of us, Samson managed to catch it.
