6 Ups And 2 Downs From WWE NXT (Jun 18)

3. Reed My Lips

While we're on the subject of seemingly inconsequential matches actually being part of a smarter, longer-term booking angle, Bronson Reed's just had the biggest moment of his NXT career. After being in the wrong place at the wrong time, he's now used an impressive squash match to bag himself a match with Karrion Kross.

He'll be roundly battered in this match, and likely in very short order, but this additional TV time and the fact he's been presented as having the bottle to even go after the scariest man in the world does good things for him.

As for Leon Ruff, well there's a story in itself there should they ever decide to tell it. The man's positivity in the face of squash after squash after squash is almost becoming quite endearing.
