6 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Mar 16th)
1. Orlando Is Suplex City
In the show's main event, the teams of American Alpha and The Vaudevillains clashed in a bout to determine the number one contenders to the NXT Tag Team Titles. Though former champs The Vaudevillains dominated much of the bout and isolated Chad Gable for several minutes, Gable was able to make the hot tag to Jason Jordan and after that, the two amateur-wrestling standouts dominated Simon Gotch and Aiden English en route to victory. In the match's closing minutes, Jordan and Gable used a variety of suplexes to crush Gotch and English. Jordan used a cradle suplex and a belly to belly before taking Gotch out with another huge belly to belly on the floor. Gable, meanwhile, caught English in a waistlock and looked like he was going for a rollup, but ended up rolling through and planting the former champion with a devastating German suplex. All of that was enough to cinch victory for American Alpha, who beat The Vaudevillains after Grand Amplitude.
