As far as make-shift tag teams go, Bron Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa are starting to prove a fairly successful combination. This time tasked with taking down one of the savviest teams in the game in the grizzled Young Veterans, the two stubborn stars managed to get the job done once again. Though classing this as a cohesive display wouldn't be accurate in the slightest.

Both men found themselves tearing through the former NXT UK Tag Team Champions for spells, though Ciampa ultimately wound up being isolated for an extended period of time, not helped by the fact Zack Gibson opted to routinely pull Breakker out of position in the lead-up to a tag. Eventually letting rip and blasting his partner with both a sadistic tag to the chest and a verbal lashing for going walkabouts, Breakker soon responded to a vexxed Ciampa by eating James Drake alive with a gorgeous gorilla press power slam for the win.

The big question now, though, is what in the hell are NXT going to do at Halloween Havoc? Do you continue on with the fairytale that is Ciampa never being defeated for Goldie? Or is now the time to strap the rocket to arguably the most over young star on your show? Both options would likely breathe life into the brand, with Ciampa being afforded a lengthy reign opening the door to a Breakker rematch down the line, and Bron pulverising Blackheart no doubt leaving audiences doing backflips at the thought of him going on a developmental tear.

Either way, these two are going to beat the p*ss out of each other in seven days times, and it's going to be glorious.
