6 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 10)

2. Braun ‘Update’

Throughout Raw Monday night, the announcers hyped an update on the condition of Braun Strowman, who was last seen wandering the streets of Dallas a bloody, beaten mess. Michael Cole even noted that GM Kurt Angle had gotten an update and would present it.

And when Angle finally came out… nothing. Angle said that Strowman had refused medical treatment (which we saw Sunday night) and that he didn’t know when Braun would be back. And that was that. Angle even blew off any semblance of an update by saying that the show must go on and turned his attention to Brock Lesnar.

WWE has done the bait-and-switch before, or not followed through on what they promised. But to hype an update on Braun and then have the GM say that he hasn’t seen the wrestler in question? Come on now. That was just some lazy storytelling there.
