6 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 30)

2. Samoa Joe Returns

Nia Jax wasn’t the only Samoan to return to action Monday night.

Samoa Joe made his triumphant return to Raw, defeating Apollo Crews in a short, but competitive match, and then humiliating manager Titus O’Neil. Joe said he was fueled by a lack of concern or empathy from fans during his two-month absence, which of course is a made-up reason, but when you’re a heel, that kind of excuse works pretty well.

Joe’s return comes at a perfect time, with Raw needing some star power and fresh blood for some new feuds. Sure, we have to slog through Survivor Series first, but Joe’s presence is a welcome one. Maybe he can continue his rivalry with Finn Balor, or maybe he’ll tangle with Braun Strowman.

Either way, it should make for some good matches.
