6 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 21)

5. Is This Leading Somewhere?

For the fourth time in a month, Bobby Roode and Elias squared off in one-on-one action. And for the third time, Elias won.

So, does that mean that the troubadour is the winner of this mini-feud? Or is Roode due to win the next two to get us to the dreaded rubber match? Worse, Elias beat Roode a week after he earned a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match, providing a setback for the Glorious One.

That leads to the question: Is this leading somewhere? Because if there isn’t some bigger plan afoot, this is just baffling booking. Something – anything – would have helped this storyline along. Give Roode a backstage interview to rail against Elias, or vice-versa. Give us a reason to care about the fourth match between these guys other than they don’t like each other, or at least let them verbalize it.

But do something. Because running the same two guys out there each week is getting old fast.
