Only Vince McMahon could go from a hero’s welcome to an “a**hole” chant in 30 seconds.

Opening the program, Shane and Stephanie McMahon welcomed their father to the ring as the architect behind Monday Night Raw. The Brooklyn faithful gave Vince a huge ovation, one that rivaled the one they gave “Stone Cold” Steve Austin moments later. But Mr. McMahon wasn’t there for cheers.

He quickly turned the crowd against him when presented with a plaque, calling it cheap and blaming the fans for the terrible gift. He laid into them for being ungrateful “after all I’ve done for you,” and then thanked himself.

It was almost comical how quickly Vince got fans to go from chanting “thank you” to profanities at him. At 72, he’s still got it.
