6 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Raw 25
4. A Million-Dollar Cameo
As with a lot of these special episodes of Raw, jamming a bunch of surprise appearances into three hours can yield mixed results. Sometimes you get the oddball appearances of Coach, Brooklyn Brawler, Brother Love and the Boogeyman crammed together in a skit that makes no sense (other than being fun to see Brother Love again).
And sometimes you get a perfect little cameo.
We turned to the APA playing poker with Rhyno and Heath Slater, with JBL cleaning up. It was a nice callback to the APA’s heyday. Suddenly, a wad of cash dropped on the table, and the camera panned back to reveal the Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase, Million Dollar Championship in hand.
DiBiase would get dealt in for the next hand as the segment ended, and he would participate in the follow-up segments, notably the last one where he won an all-in hand. That of course led to Ron Simmons delivering his trademark “Damn.” Nice continuity.
