6 Ups And Downs For Last Night's WWE Raw (March 2nd)

4. Cena Talks, Yells, Talks, Yells

Someone (perhaps on this site) recently pointed out that John Cena€™s promo style is amazingly uniform (please take credit in the comments). He comes out and either yells about how excited he is to be €œLIVE on Monday Night RAW!€ or he starts out in a somber monotone. Then he continues in a calm tone until he starts getting fired up about getting up after getting knocked down/never giving up/the champ is here and yells again for no apparent reason. This repeats itself at least once, depending on how long until someone interrupts him, at which point Cena typically makes a childish joke at the person€™s expense. If he€™s actually serious, as he was Monday, Cena will insult the person directly and put on a straight face. He€™ll then find a way to get intense and yell some more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0Bwclk2apA Look, it€™s not the parody that Hulk Hogan promos have become, but can anyone actually remember the content of a John Cena promo? He says a lot of stuff, but it really is more about the cadence, intensity and volume that is memorable. That, and the bad jokes. Sadly, we€™ll never be able to forget those.
