7 Countries That Have Had The Most Impact On WWE

1. Canada

WWE.comWWE.comNo other country has ever had such an enormous impact on WWE as Canada has. The list of unbelievable talent that has represented Canada on a WWE stage is simply too long to recap, but to only name a few, there is: Bret Hart and the Hart family, Chris Jericho, the late Chris Benoit, Edge, Lance Storm, Trish Stratus, up-and-comer Sami Zayn... the list goes on! The Hart family is, apart from the McMahons, the most famous family in all of wrestling history. The patriarch of the family, Stu Hart owned his own wrestling promotion, Stampede wrestling, and from this his family produced and trained a number of extremely talented wrestlers, including Bret Hart, the late and the greats Owen Hart, The British Bulldog and Brian Pillman, Jim Neidhart, current Diva Natalya, and Natalya's husband, Tyson Kidd. The Hart foundation dominated the WWF in the late 1980s and 1990s, and Bret Hart in particular was part of some of the best wrestling matches of all time, including ladder matches and ironman matches against Shawn Michaels, and a superb submission match against Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania 13. Also trained by Stu Hart were 2 of the greatest in-ring performers of the 2000s: Chris Jericho and Edge. Chris Jericho has found success not only in the wrestling industry, where he was the first ever Undisputed Champion and also won multiple other championships including a record 9 Intercontinental Championships, but he has also found mainstream success with his rock band, Fozzy. Edge was the most hated heel of the Ruthless Aggression Era, yet he pulled it off seamlessly with style and charisma. His Rated R Superstar character will go down as one of the most successful of all time, and having won an impressive 14 Tag Team Titles and 7 World Heavyweight Championships, it is clear that Edge's career ended far too early when he was forced to retire in 2011. However, he was awarded the honour of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012, a fitting tribute to one of the best entertainers of the 2000s. So there you have it, my recap of the 7 countries that have had the most impact on the WWE! Do you agree? Disagree? Discussion always welcome folks!
