The first of two former Horsemen to make this list, multi-time WCW Cruiserweight Champion Dean Malenko didn't have the best of luck when it came to facing off against the Flairs in one-on-one action. The Ice Man faced Ric on five occasions, coming up short four times, and also lost to David Flair with the United States Championship on the line. David needed help obviously, but it all counts.

Dean's one victory came on an episode of Nitro in July 1999, in a match that was pretty much designed for him to lose. Arn Anderson and Asya were at ringside causing all manner of distractions, and Charles Robinson was the most crooked of referees at the time.

Still, Charles took a bump and a second referee came down to officiate. Malenko managed to turn the Figure Four over, and as Flair was about to tap out Asya came into the ring and booted the referee in the ribs. A disqualification win for the Dean.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
