7 Major Questions Surrounding Brock Lesnar’s Potential USADA Violation
1. Is WWE’s Testing Bogus?
Finally, we come to the elephant in the room, and perhaps the most damaging question of all as far as the WWE is concerned.
If Brock was potentially caught red-handed within a few weeks of his UFC return, how did he manage to go years and years in the WWE without being busted for anything?
Of course, there is the possibility that if a prohibited substance was indeed being used, perhaps Lesnar hadn’t taken it until commencing his UFC training—at which point he was on a temporary break from WWE. That seems to be what the WWE was angling towards with their statement, but either way this doesn’t shine a particularly positive light on the company’s wellness testing.
There’s also the potential line of argument that the WWE doesn’t test its part-timers; but does that not just undermine the whole process if some guys are getting a free pass?
Ultimately, we’ll have to wait until the substance is identified before we point any more fingers at the WWE. But after the Roman Reigns debacle seemed to highlight the wellness test’s legitimacy, just a few short weeks later the doubts are already resurfacing.
