7 Mistakes WWE Made With The 2019 Superstar Shake-Up
1. Andrade And Aleister Black Were Moved To SmackDown Live
It was almost exactly 15 years ago during the 2004 WWE draft that Triple H was sent packing to SmackDown Live after being a cornerstone of Raw since the beginning of the Brand Split. The decision was reversed days later as apparently Vince McMahon didn't feel like The Game was a good fit for SmackDown, raising the question of why he switched shows in the first place.
A decade and a half later and McMahon's tendency to change his mind more frequently than the weather remains the same.
Andrade was originally announced as one of the newest members of the Raw roster last week with the former NXT champion beating Finn Bálor in his debut. Aleister Black also officially arrived on Raw that night, keeping his tandem with Ricochet alive.
As of this week, however, both Superstars have since been moved back to the blue brand.
Unsurprisingly, WWE gave no reason for the sudden change, though it has been rumored that FOX requested Andrade be on SmackDown to represent the Latino portion of WWE's audience. Furthermore, Black and Andrade's manager Zelina Vega are married, which would explain why he switched shows, too.
If true, WWE probably should have thought about that before assigning them to the Raw roster last week and further devaluing the Superstar Shake-up in doing so.
