2. Stephanie McMahon Is Talking Nonsense

Stephanie McMahon is the Chief Brand Officer of WWE. She is the daughter of the man who owns it and the wife of the man who is going to inherit it. It's safe to infer that she can do essentially whatever she wants, which might explain why she habitually buries talents onscreen with nothing in the way of comeuppance.

Doing the press rounds in Dubai for WWE's expansion into the middle east, Steph was asked by The National how she and Trips plan on topping his increasingly more epic/ridiculous (delete as appropriate) WrestleMania entrances. She conceded that it was a challenge to top them and Triple H's matches, but - and the operative word has been italicised for emphasis - "I have been so privileged to have those opportunities and hopefully there will be another one."

Hopefully.

She said that as if there's any doubt that Triple H won't book himself to perform at WrestleMania 34 in his trademark epic, methodical match, the likes of which he doesn't so much top as repeat ad nauseam. After all, WWE is a meritocracy, so maybe Triple H, like the rest of the roster, will have to earn his spot in New Orleans. Or maybe he'll do nothing for months and then have a match against a big name, making his entrance as the Night King flanked by a fleet of White Walkers. Stephanie also looks forward to reviving her chemistry with RAW General Manager Kurt Angle - but this time, it'll be different because she's the boss.

Translation: she's going to henpeck him for eight months and storyline fire him two weeks before every other long-running conflict is settled on the grandest stage.
