7 Observations From Attending WWE Raw Live In Missouri

6. Merch For All

In recent years, the WWE Monday Night RAW tapings have a predictably bland merchandise area. The likes of John Cena are well represented, with his barrage of colorful T-shirts, foam fingers, wrist bands, action figures, and more taking up the spaces where other budding stars could display their merchandise. Other top stars, such as Randy Orton and the Shield, would make their presence felt on the merch walls, but the lack of up-and-coming talents from the mid-card was noticeable.

Thankfully, it’s a new era in the WWE (allegedly), and the company represented their wrestlers on the cusp of superstardom well over where the money was slung. Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Sasha Banks, AJ Styles, Enzo & Cass, Cesaro, and the New Day had T-shirts readily available (albeit none in big sizes, which was surprising given the general shape of the crowd).

AJ Styles’ patented gloves were even available for purchase, as was Cesaro’s arm sleeves. The hot ticket, of course, was that beloved Booty-O’s cereal box and the light-up unicorn horn. New Day rocked the merch booth, whilst Funko Pop! figurines of Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, and the Bella Twins were a far cry from the WWE Live Event Exclusives of Daniel Bryan, Hulk Hogan, and “Macho Man” Randy Savage that could be purchased the last time the WWE came to town.
