7 Occupational WWE Gimmicks That Were Really Stupid

2. TL Hopper

TL Hopper was a wrestling plumber. Yeah that's right, a plumber. A man that people called to unclog their toilets and fix their sinks was an evil wrestler. Shouldn't a plumber be a babyface? After all, they provide relief for their customers. Instead, he was booked as a bad guy. It would be nice to know what WWE thought when they created the TL Hopper character. What kind of expectations did they have it? It's not like he was going to develop into a main eventer when he had to cut promos about being a plumber. As for his theme song, it was full of toilets being flushed. We'll just assume that the writer of that tune did not get a raise for exemplary work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXw-N3tuni0 The best thing we can say about Hopper's WWE career is that he was never booked to wrestle on a PPV. He wrestled on TV plenty of times and usually lost those matches, but he wasn't a very successful wrestler. Perhaps he should have stuck to unclogging toilets. It's a lot less painful.
