7 Outrageous CM Punk Fan Encounter Stories

5. Getting Into A Very Public Argument With Singer Chris Brown

Singer Chris Brown is not well liked by a lot of people because he assaulted his girlfriend at the time, singer Rihanna, in 2009 and was convicted of felony assault for it. Any time a man hits a woman it is disgusting. While Brown has been able to continue making music, he's still hated by a lot of people. In February 2012, Punk (in a babyface role on WWE TV) felt the need to take a shot at Brown. This took place about a week after Brown won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album, so maybe that's why Punk fired the first shot. Here is what Punk said in his February 20, 2012 tweet: "I would like @chrisbrown fight somebody that can defend themselves. Me curb stomping that turd would be a #wrestlemania moment."
Here's how Brown responded: "@CMpunk needs more followers. He's such a leader! Not to mention the roids hes on has made it utterly impossible for him pleasure a women." Another tweet said: "@CMpunk contact my assistant and I'll have em send u an autographed pic for my biggest FAN!!!" Punk put out a video talking trash about Brown: €œI never meant to include Chris Brown€™s name in one of my tweets for publicity. Now that he€™s accusing me of using steroids please allow me to retort. I am a life-long, proud, drug-free straight-edge individual. So Chris and I come from two completely different worlds. And I don€™t hit women. Period. Picking up trash on the side of a highway does not make amends for repeatedly striking a woman to her face and sending her to a hospital.€ http://youtu.be/eBlNnJlgu8w Once again Brown responded to him: "@cmpunk the video u just posted was cute! It's so funny how defensive u are. And the fact that I really don't know who you are and could give a is the funny part! I really hope this 15 minutes of fame is paying you for the long run becuz music last forever! Wrestlers come and go according to ratings!" Things seemed to die off soon after. It generated a lot of attention and the story was picked up all over the internet. Of course TMZ was all over it while the New York Daily News also ran the story. Even WWE.com pushed it on their website just to give it more attention. While Chris Brown isn't a fan like the rest of us, it was a very public thing that Punk did and showed he wasn't afraid to say anything to anybody.
