6. The Stone Cold Podcast

Dean Ambrose was a name that many hoped would eventually be announced for the Stone Cold Podcast, so there was a whole heap of excitement and anticipation when that hope became reality. The show itself ended up being something of a washout, however, with Ambrose coming off as immensely awkward and erratic and the conversation failing to flow at any point.

An interview appearance may not be the right way to judge the merits of top talent, but Ambrose's appearance on Austin's show sticks out like a sore thumb when compared to the showings of his co-workers. The man who defeated Ambrose last night, AJ Styles, came off as a top star on the same podcast. Ambrose seemed more like a naughty kid.

It exposed many issues with Dean Ambrose as a top level WWE star, and may have opened up a lot of eyes in the process.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
