7 Reasons Samoa Joe Is Pro Wrestling

He's the self-titled definition of the sport.

Last night's edition of NXT: Takeover had a shocking conclusion as, during the brutal main event between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, indie legend Samoa Joe made his unannounced debut and confronted the champ. He then closed the show with an introductory promo, proclaiming himself to be pro wrestling itself. For years, Joe has been one of the biggest names never to appear in a WWE ring. He has built a considerable reputation among fans from his long stints in Ring of Honor, TNA, and a variety of smaller independent promotions, accruing an invaluable wealth of experience in the process. Although Joe's "I am pro wrestling" boast seemed excessive at first, many fans will feel he is completely justified in making such a claim. Not only has he solidified himself as one of the best wrestlers in the world over the course of his 15 year career, he's also demonstrated numerous qualities which make him a legitimate complete package. Not many workers share his enviable range of strengths, making him one of the most potentially groundbreaking signings in WWE history. Here are the seven main reasons Samoa Joe "is" professional wrestling, tools which should see him become a great success in wrestling's major leagues. He's got all the promise in the world; only the WWE can screw this up now (and even they'd have a hard time doing so).
