Of all Joe's strengths, his main asset is versatility. Now at 36 (and showing little signs of slowing down), his career has seen a variety of opponents, storylines, match-styles and feuds, resulting in a level of acclaim usually reserved for those who have at least set foot in a WWE ring. It's hard to predict just how a Samoa Joe match will unfold. He's equally likely to step casually away from an opponent's attempted top-rope manoeuvre as he is to engage in a relentless breakdown, capable of working an hour-long technical classic or launching himself over the top rope time and time again. Joe has all the traits necessary to be a major hit in the WWE ring: he looks the part, can cut a decent promo, is already relatively over due to his experience in TNA and the independent circuit, and (most importantly) remains an absolute diamond in the ring.
