With all due respect to Vickie Guerrero and Paul Heyman, Eric Bischoff was the best General Manager in WWE history. Vickie knew how to get heat by being annoying while Heyman wasn't in the position long enough. Bischoff did a great job for three years as Raw GM: he interacted with all kinds of wrestlers whether it was in the ring, backstage or even in a courtroom when they had the "Trial of Eric Bischoff" leading to his 2005 dismissal. What made Bischoff great is that he was so believable in the role. His on-air chemistry with Steve Austin in 2003 when they were co-GMs and later with Austin as the "sheriff" was a lot of fun because they played off each other so well. Bischoff also worked well with top performers in the company like Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle and John Cena. The current WWE product is stale right now. Sometimes it takes bringing back a 60 year old man that did the job better than anybody else because he can probably deliver the goods again. WWE knows how good he is: that's why they know better than anybody that it's the right time to welcome Bischoff back to the WWE Universe to run Raw.
