7 Shawn Michaels WWE Dream Matches We Could Still See

1. Brock Lesnar

Can you even imagine? It's a crying shame we never got this match during Brock's first run with the company between 2002-04. The perfect time to have done so would have been early or mid-2004, when Brock was on the warpath as a monster heel and Michaels as an over babyface. The two did have one bit of physical interaction; HBK levelling The Next Big Thing with some Chin Music on the August 19th 2002 episode of Raw. By the time Lesnar returned in 2012, Michaels was two years retired. The two got into it pretty quickly, though, with Michaels very much involved in Lesnar and Triple H's lengthy feud. The retired veteran even took an F5 and had his arm 'broken' by The Beast Incarnate in order to advance the storylines. If WWE were to run this in 2016, it would no doubt necessitate a Brock heel turn. As for the reasons behind it, Michaels could take umbrage with the fact that Lesnar was the one to end the Undertaker's WrestleMania winning streak after HBK had unsuccessfully tried to do so twice. Really, Lesnar versus Michaels in some sort of gimmick match (cage? Hell in a Cell? Last Man Standing?) would be just beautiful, and is the biggest 'dream match' WWE have for The Showstopper. Now if only he'd come out of bloody retirement...
