7 Stars Who Became Too Big For WWE

6. Sable

Sable was one of the biggest draws in wrestling during her two years as WWE's top diva. It was proven in the quarterly hour ratings during Raw every week. Other than a few top guys like Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker and some others, it was Sable that was made fans turn the channel to make sure they were watching Raw. Fans wanted to see what Sable was wearing or sometimes not wearing. Her success as the top diva in WWE really didn't last that long. That's because in the spring of 1999 she decided to quit WWE. There were all kinds of reports that Sable had ego problems. Part of the reason she had a big ego was because when she posed in Playboy it became one of the most popular issues ever. Due to the success of the magazine, she became difficult to deal with and ended up leaving the company. Once she left, she posed in Playboy again and became the first woman to land a cover spot twice in the same year. She left WWE because she felt like she was a bigger star than people there. She ended up getting a lot of mainstream press in part because of her Playboy success, but also because of the lawsuit she filed against WWE. Her focus moved from wrestling to acting, which led to her appearing in some made for TV type films although none of them were really that successful. Sable ended up returning to WWE in 2003 for a one year stint. It was likely because she needed the money since she really wasn't working a lot when she was out of the company. Due to the success she had with Playboy in the prime of her career, she absolutely became too big for WWE or at least she was in her own mind.
